Our White Chocolate Apples taste scrumptious any time of year. Pair them with a candy bar at a birthday bash, and guests will have a very sweet takeaway.

White Chocolate Apples

  1. 12 (7-inch) cookie sticks
  2. 12 small Granny Smith apples
  3. 2 (12-ounce) packages vanilla baking morsels*
  4. 1/4 cup vegetable shortening
  5. Gold sanding sugar
  1. Insert cookie sticks into tops of apples, pressing until you reach the bottom, being careful not to pierce through.
  2. In a large microwave-safe bowl, melt morsels and shortening on high in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until melted. Let mixture cool approximately 3 minutes.
  3. Dip and roll apples into melted mixture, rewarming mixture as necessary, to coat all apples. Place on parchment or wax paper to dry.
  4. Immediately sprinkle with gold sanding sugar.
