New York-based party planner Beth Mahoney threw a space-themed baby shower that was out of this world. Whether she is making a Halloween costume for her son or planning a birthday party (her favorite), Beth loves to create. She calls her ideas “monkeys,” which even led to the name of her company, 15 Monkeys. Filled with yummy chocolate and cupcakes, this baby shower’s dessert table was especially adorable. Beth shared how she got the treats and set up ready for blast off.
Bright pops of primary colors set the tone for this space-themed baby shower. The deep blue tablecloth to replicate the sky, set the stage for the dessert table.Cutouts of baby-faced planets, and rocket ships added to the décor. “Baby” cakes were frosted in bright colors and placed on elevated cupcake stands. The adorable planet and rocket ship toppers, and cupcake wrappers, were made on a diecut machine. A simple addition of a red paper cone top, wings and a paper skirt transformed the large apothecary jars filled with popcorn on each end of the display table into rocket ships. You can message Beth at 15 Monkeys on Facebook to purchase diecut decorations.
