This Citrus-Herb Salt Party Favor complements any savory summer dish beautifully, and makes for a unique, useful treat for your guests to take home from a dinner party. The salt is simple to make, and takes only a few minutes to create and package. For a clean, sophisticated look, we put our salt in simple glass jars with cork tops. Use a clear container, so that guests can appreciate how the darker toned parsley and hints of citrus zest pop against the kosher salt. Print and tie our aqua and royal blue gift tags around the top of your container to complete your look. Personalize the favor even more by writing guests’ names on each tag. We served this salt with the Mediterranean dishes at a coastal-inspired dinner party set on the beach.
Makes about 2½ cups
To make the salt, combine two cups of kosher salt, and four tablespoons of fresh citrus zest. We used two tablespoons of orange zest and two tablespoons of lemon zest, along with 1/4 cup dried parsley flakes.
