Blueberry French Toast Casserole

Ingredients
  1. 6 large eggs
  2. 2 cups whole milk
  3. 1 cup maple syrup, divided
  4. 1 1⁄2 teaspoons ground cinnamon, divided
  5. 12 slices white sandwich bread 1 pint fresh blueberries
  6. 1 tablespoon sugar
Instructions
  1. In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, 1⁄2 cup syrup, and 1 teaspoon cinnamon until combined. TWO Arrange half of bread slices in a 13x9-inch baking dish. Top with half of blueberries. Arrange remaining bread over blueberries, and top with remaining blueberries. Pour egg mixture over bread; cover, and refrigerate for 1 hour or up to 12 hours.
  2. Preheat oven to 350°.
  3. In a small bowl, combine sugar and remaining 1⁄2 teaspoon cinnamon; sprinkle evenly over casserole. Bake for 1 hour or until set. Top with remaining 1⁄2 cup syrup.
