Summer is drawing to a close, but it’s not too late to have one last hurrah with a spectacular back-to-school send-off. With games and treats, this party will surely be a hit!
TIN CAN ALLEY
Upcycle used aluminum cans by wrapping them in colorful scrapbook paper and stacking them in a pyramid. Let children toss a softball, and watch the cans tumble.
Label paint cans (found at local home improvement stores) with the numbers 5, 10, or 15—the points awarded for each throw. For a fun variation on traditional beanbags, use beanbag animals.
GUESS HOW MANY
Fill a vase with bubble-gum pieces, and let everyone write down their best guess of how many it contains. Just make sure to count the pieces before setting out the vase!
Don’t forget the prizes! Place your finds from the dollar store into baskets, and label them according to their winning tickets. Give the kiddos a special bag to keep their prizes in. Download and print our free party art for this event.
With prepared items from the grocery store and a great Carnival Cupcake recipe, you can put this party together with ease.
