Lullaby and Goodnight Baby Shower Ideas

We loved the ideas from this baby shower by Brittany of GreyGrey Designs – a Lullaby and Goodnight-themed gathering. She combined a neutral color palette with music-inspired details to create a timeless look for a baby shower. Here are some of our favorite details:

  • The mixture of burlap and lace
  • Large textured Chinese lanterns
  • Sheet music-wrapped vessels for centerpieces
  • Ribbon garland

What was the premise behind this party? The honoree, Candace, actually chose this theme. She has a very classic style. Candace is a longtime client, but this is the first time I have thrown a party for HER! When I heard Lullaby and Goodnight and that she liked neutral colors, I knew that lace, burlap, and a little glitter would be perfect. She knew she was having a baby boy, but she still wanted to keep it neutral and romantic. I also incorporated sheet music into some of the details, to bring the “lullaby” element into the shower.

What was your color palette? The color palette was all neutrals, such as white, cream, and burlap,  with a hint of glitter and metallics thrown in for texture and visual interest.

What was your favorite detail? My favorite detail was the beautiful ribbon garland on the front of the dessert table. It really gave a lush, romantic look to the vintage sideboard that it was displayed upon.

What was the menu?  The menu was very light, as it was a late afternoon event. They had Key Lime Cupcakes (Candace’s favorite), a Fruit Display with a Chocolate Fountain, Tortellini Skewers with a pesto sauce, Assorted Finger Sandwiches (Gorgonzola and Strawberry, Pimiento Cheese, Chicken Salad, and Cucumber Sandwiches), and a fruit tea for a beverage.
